China’s economy rebounded through the first quarter, offering the government room for maneuver as trade negotiations with the U.S. enter a crucial stage.

Gross domestic product rose 6.4 percent in the first three months from a year earlier — matching last quarter’s pace and beating economists’ estimates. Factory output in March jumped 8.5 percent from a year earlier, much higher than forecast. Retail sales expanded 8.7 percent while investment was up 6.3 percent in the year to date.

The numbers are a reversal from as recently as January when key readings were pointing to a pronounced downturn. U.S. officials had previously touted such weakness as leverage in their push for a trade agreement.

“President Trump and other U.S. officials spent much of the last year saying that China’s slowdown was making Beijing desperate for a deal,” said Michael Hirson, Practice Head, China and Northeast Asia at Eurasia Group and a former U.S. Treasury Department official. “Now that China’s growth is recovering, Trump and team will be getting more questions from pundits and the media about whether his leverage is slipping away.”

While the better data isn’t likely to radically alter the course of negotiations that are already in their late stages, at the very least they will change the atmosphere, Hirson said.

White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow, who in January described China’s economy as “very weak,” on Tuesday said the negotiations are making “very good progress.”

The exchange of tit for tat tariffs last year between the world’s two-biggest economies on roughly $360 billion worth of each others goods had dragged on global growth and hammered sentiment before both governments agreed a truce.

Car production grew in March for the first time since September, showing manufacturers might be more optimistic after the sales slump last year. Aluminum and steel output also reached records in the first quarter as producers ramped up operations amid prospects for better demand in the world’s biggest commodities consumer.

The robust data stoked skepticism as critics said authorities are again relying on cheap credit to stoke lending and demand. Investment by state-owned firms quickened to 6.7 percent and slowed for private firms to 6.4 percent, underscoring the government’s role in supporting growth.

“I think policymakers, who were choosing “deleveraging” over the past two years, are now back to increasing leverage,” said Alex Wolf, head of investment strategy at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Asia.

It wasn’t all good news either: The surveyed jobless rate remained over 5 percent for a third month and the nominal growth rate, which is un-adjusted for price trends, decelerated. That means slower corporate profits. On top of those, some other factors raising concerns about the sustainability of the recovery are:

A sharp slowdown in fixed-asset investment by manufacturers The slowest services sector growth since 1992 The pickup in state investment, probably on the back of efforts to spend more of the budget earlier in the year. As the budget funds run down through the rest of the year, that investment may taper Polluting sectors such as rubber, plastics and mining saw big increases in output, suggesting relaxed pollution controls

The reports led some economists to conclude that the data mean policy makers will scale back stimulus measures that had been penciled in for the year.

“First quarter and March data confirm a cyclical turning point,” Morgan Stanley economists including Robin Xing in Hong Kong wrote in a note. Reserve-ratio cuts “could be fewer amid strong fiscal support. We expect an economic upturn in the second to fourth quarters as fiscal easing fully kicks in, trade tensions ease, and consumer confidence normalizes.”

For the global economy and for China’s trade negotiators, that’s a marked turnaround from the gloomy outlook seen just a few months ago.

“It strengthens China’s hand,” said Cui Li, head of macro research at CCB International Holdings Ltd. in Hong Kong. “With the strong data, it’s easier to make a win-win argument that China will help the global economy to achieve a soft landing, and everyone is better off without the uncertainties as global growth slows.”

(WASHINGTON) — Stepping up pressure on Cuba, the Trump administration will allow lawsuits against foreign companies doing business in properties seized from Americans after the island’s 1959 revolution, a senior administration official said.

The move marks a change in more than two decades of U.S. policy on Cuba.

President Donald Trump has been taking steps to isolate embattled Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro, who is holding power with help from other countries, including Cuba, China and Russia. The new policy against Havana could deal a severe blow to Cuba’s efforts to draw foreign investment, and spawn international trade disputes between the U.S. and Europe.

The administration official who provided details of the shift spoke on condition of anonymity ahead of the official announcement Wednesday by the State Department.

After that announcement, national security adviser John Bolton is expected to discuss the new policy during a midday speech Wednesday in Miami, which is home to thousands of exiles and immigrants from Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua.

The speech at the Bay of Pigs Veterans Association is to be delivered on the 58th anniversary of the United States’ failed 1961 invasion of the island, an attempt to overthrow the Cuban government.

Johana Tablada, Cuba’s deputy director of U.S. affairs, said on Twitter: “Before they try to euphorically ride a wave of wickedness and lies, they should take a dose of reality. The world has told John Bolton and the U.S. government to eliminate the criminal blockade against Cuba and the Helms-Burton Act.”

The 1996 act gave Americans the right to sue the mostly European companies that operate out of hotels, tobacco factories, distilleries and other properties that Cuba nationalized after Fidel Castro took power. The act even allows lawsuits by Cubans who became U.S. citizens years after their properties were taken.

Canada, France, Spain, Great Britain and other countries with large investments in Cuba have ferociously protested the law and threatened to sue in the World Trade Organization if Washington tries to interfere with the business ties between Cuba and another sovereign nation.

“The extraterritorial application of the U.S. embargo is illegal and violates international law,” said Alberto Navarro, the European Union ambassador to Cuba. “I personally consider it immoral. For 60 years the only thing that’s resulted from the embargo is the suffering of the Cuban people.”

U.S. airlines and cruise lines that bring hundreds of thousands of travelers to Cuba each year appear to be exempt from the key provision of the Helms-Burton Act.

Every U.S. president since Bill Clinton has suspended the key clause to avoid those trade clashes and a potential mass of lawsuits that would prevent any future settlement with Cuba over nationalized properties. Cuba has said it is willing to reimburse the owners of confiscated properties, but only if the communist government is also reimbursed for billions of dollars in damages generated by the six-decade U.S. trade embargo.

The announcement comes at a moment of severe economic weakness for Cuba, which is struggling to find enough cash to import basic food and other supplies following a drop in aid from Venezuela, and a string of bad years in other key economic sectors.

Foreign investment in Cuba increased slightly in recent years, but it remains far below the levels needed to recapitalize the island’s dilapidated, often collapsing infrastructure. The Trump administration’s decision is not expected to drive out major foreign players like Pernod-Ricard of France, which makes Havana Club rum, or Spanish hotel chains Melia or Iberostar, but it could prove a major obstacle to new investment from foreign companies.

“It will harm prospective investment in Cuba. It will not cause people who are invested in Cuba already to pull out now,” said Phil Peters, director of the Arlington, Virginia-based Cuba Research Center, who advocated for closer relations with Cuba and has consulted for U.S. companies looking to invest.

Peters said he also believed the new measure could hurt the Trump administration’s effort to force Maduro from power with help from allies like Spain.

“There are plenty of countries that are interested in helping Venezuela find a soft landing after Maduro, but they are not interested in waging an economic war on Cuba,” Peters said.

The U.S. official said the administration also plans to start enforcing the section of the act that allows the U.S. to deny entry visas to Cubans and citizens of other countries involved in trafficking in the confiscated property.

(JERUSALEM) — An Israeli court on Tuesday upheld a deportation order against Human Rights Watch’s local director and gave him two weeks to leave the country.

The Jerusalem District Court rejected an appeal by Omar Shakir to remain in the country, saying that his activities against Israel’s West Bank settlements amount to a boycott of the country.

Israel enacted a law in 2017 barring entry to any foreigner who “knowingly issues a public call for boycotting Israel.” Tuesday’s ruling was the first time the law was applied to someone already residing in the country.

Shakir, a U.S. citizen, has worked as the New York-based group’s Israel and Palestine director since October 2016.

Israel’s interior minister ordered Shakir’s deportation in May 2018, calling him a “boycott activist.”

The court said that Shakir “continues his actions publicly to advance a boycott against Israel, but it’s not on the stages at conferences or in university panels, rather through disseminating his calls to advance boycott primarily through his Twitter account and by other means.”

It cited Shakir’s support on Twitter for AirBnb’s decision to remove postings from Israeli settlements in the West Bank as an example. AirBnb later backtracked on that decision.

Human Rights Watch said neither the organization nor Shakir promotes Israel boycotts, but has called for companies to cease operations in West Bank settlements because they “inherently benefit from and contribute to serious violations of international humanitarian law.”

Israel captured the West Bank, along with east Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, in the 1967 Mideast war. Palestinians seek these territories for a future state. Most of the international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal.

The court upheld the law applying to boycotts of “areas under (Israel’s) control,” namely the West Bank, not just of Israel proper.

Human Rights Watch said the court’s ruling “threatens the ability of all Human Rights Watch staff members to access both Israel and the West Bank.”

“The decision sends the chilling message that those who criticize the involvement of businesses in serious abuses in Israeli settlements risk being barred from Israel and the Israeli-occupied West Bank,” said Tom Porteous, deputy program director at Human Rights Watch.

The court gave Shakir until May 1 to leave the country. The group said it would appeal the decision and seek an injunction blocking the deportation while legal proceedings continue.

Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Gilad Erdan, whose ministry leads anti-boycott efforts, praised the ruling. “Boycott activists need to understand that what was will no longer be,” he said.

(JAKARTA, Indonesia) — Voting is underway in presidential and legislative elections Wednesday in Indonesia, the world’s third-biggest democracy, after a campaign that pitted the moderate incumbent against an ultranationalist former general.

The first votes were cast in easternmost provinces after polling booths opened at 7 a.m. followed an hour later by central regions such as Bali and then the capital Jakarta and western provinces. Indonesia, a sprawling archipelago of 17,000 islands, has three time zones.

About 193 million people are eligible to vote in polls that will decide who leads the world’s most populous Muslim-majority nation. Indonesians are also voting for Senate and national, provincial and district legislatures.

The presidential race is a choice between five more years of the steady progress achieved under Indonesia’s first president from outside the Jakarta elite, Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, or electing Prabowo Subianto, a former general from the era of the Suharto military dictatorship.

Opinion polls have consistently given a large lead to Widodo of up to 20 percentage points though analysts say the race is likely tighter.

“I’ve voted for Jokowi because five years in office was not enough for him to complete his brilliant programs for infrastructure, health and education,” said Eko Cahya Pratama, 43, after voting in Tangerang on the outskirts of Jakarta.

“For me, this country is better to be managed by a man with a clean track record rather than a dirty one in the past,” he said.

Widodo’s campaign highlighted his progress in poverty reduction and improving Indonesia’s inadequate infrastructure with new ports, toll roads, airports, and mass rapid transit — which became a reality last month in Jakarta, the country’s chronically congested capital.

A strident nationalist, Subianto has run a fear-based campaign, highlighting what he sees as Indonesia’s weakness and the risk of exploitation by foreign powers or disintegration.

“He deserves to get my vote because I was impressed with his commitment to create a clean government and a great nation,” said Anneka Karoine, 43, after she and her husband voted for Subianto and his running mate tycoon Sandiaga Uno. “I believe they will lead our country better than the current leader.”

Voting ends at 1 p.m. and so called “quick count” results are expected after about two hours.

(CARACAS, Venezuela) — Red Cross volunteers distributed the first shipment of badly needed emergency supplies in Venezuela on Tuesday after months of feuding between the government, which has denied the existence of a humanitarian crisis, and opponents who have been seeking to use the delivery of aid to force President Nicolás Maduro from power.

In the working class neighborhood of Catia near downtown Caracas, government supporters fired a half dozen gunshots in the air as a van arrived to distribute water purification tablets and empty plastic jugs, creating a small commotion on a major avenue during rush hour.

“We’re very happy,” Sergio Guerra, a motorcycle taxi driver, said nonchalantly as the sound of the shots cracked overhead. “With these tablets we can defend ourselves a little better by drinking cleaner water.”

A small contingent of police showed up to restore order, and volunteers in blue vests agreed to close the van doors from which they were running the slow-moving distribution operation. Elsewhere, trucks carrying the aid snaked through a Caracas highway, the drivers of several vehicles jubilantly honking in support.

The delivery of international humanitarian aid has become a focal point in Venezuela’s power struggle, now in its third month, after opposition leader Juan Guaidó declared himself interim president. Both the opposition and the government have been accused of politicizing the aid issue as hospitals struggle to provide even basic care.

Guaidó has rallied the international community and amassed several hundred tons of aid, primarily from the United States, at Venezuela’s borders with Colombia, Brazil and the Dutch Caribbean. But Maduro has steadfastly refused to allow it in, blocking opposition activists who in February organized a caravan to deliver the shipments.

“We aren’t beggars,” Maduro said at the time.

On Tuesday evening, Maduro sought to claim credit for the arrival of the first batch of Red Cross aid, saying on national television that his government coordinated it in line with “international protocols.”

As large crowds have taken to the streets to protest his rule this year, Maduro has been pressed to address the nation’s shortages of essential goods like food and medicine. He’s selectively chosen to accept aid from allies like China, framing it as a necessary measure to confront U.S. economic sanctions.

The delivery of any aid is tacit recognition that his country is in a humanitarian crisis, a notion he has long dismissed as opposition propaganda to pave the way for a foreign military intervention.

In recent years, an estimated 3.7 million people have fled the South American nation for neighboring countries like Colombia, some seeking health care for everything from minor infections to cancer treatment they can no longer obtain. Hospitals in Venezuela often operate without essential supplies, asking patients to bring in surgical gear and medicine.

A recent report by Human Rights Watch and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health concluded Venezuela’s health system is in “utter collapse.” It cited increased levels of maternal and infant mortality, the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases and high levels of child malnutrition.

In late March, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies announced it would soon begin delivering assistance to an estimated 650,000 people and vowed that it would not accept interference from either side of the polarized country. Federation President Francesco Rocca said Red Cross workers would focus on the medical needs of hospitals, regardless of whether they are state-run or not — a pledge repeated Tuesday.

“It will be distributed in conformance with the fundamental principles of our movement, especially neutrality, impartiality and independence,” said Mario Villarroel, president of the Venezuelan Red Cross.

Nonetheless, both sides made not-so-subtle inferences seeking to claim the upper hand in the aid’s arrival.

Health Minister Carlos Alvarado, speaking from the airport where the aid landed, said a total of 24 tons was delivered Tuesday, including 14 generators which have become vital as the nation suffers from consistent blackouts.

Guaidó, meanwhile, lashed out at Maduro’s government for letting Venezuela’s health crisis spiral out of control.

“Aid is entering because they destroyed the health system,” he said. “It entered because we demanded it.”

Villarroel said the aid will be distributed to various hospitals around the country and thanked both state and private institutions for their help.

“Our mandate is to help save lives,” he said.

(BANGKOK) — A dog found swimming more than 220 kilometers (135 miles) from shore by workers on an oil rig crew in the Gulf of Thailand has been returned safely to land.

A worker on the rig belonging to Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Vitisak Payalaw, said on his Facebook page that they saw the dog swimming toward the platform last Friday. He said they were lucky to spot it because if there had been waves it probably would not have been visible.

The dog made it to the platform, clinging to the support structure below deck without barking or whimpering, Vitisak wrote.

The crew managed to lower a rope and secure it around the dog’s neck and haul it up. Vitisak said they speculated the dog might have fallen off a fishing trawler, and dubbed it Boon Rod, or Survivor.

The dog was delivered by boat to the southern port of Songkhla on Monday and was declared in good shape after being taken to the animal protection group Watchdog Thailand.

Vitisak said if the dog was unclaimed, he would like to take it to his home in northeast Thailand.

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump on Tuesday vetoed a bill passed by Congress to end U.S. military assistance in Saudi Arabia’s war in Yemen.

In a break with the president, Congress voted for the first time earlier this month to invoke the War Powers Resolution to try to stop U.S. involvement in a foreign conflict.

The veto — the second in Trump’s presidency — was expected. Congress lacks the votes to override him.

“This resolution is an unnecessary, dangerous attempt to weaken my constitutional authorities, endangering the lives of American citizens and brave service members, both today and in the future,” Trump wrote in explaining his veto.

Congress has grown uneasy with Trump’s close relationship with Saudi Arabia as he tries to further isolate Iran, a regional rival.

Many lawmakers also criticized the president for not condemning Saudi Arabia for the killing of Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi who lived in the United States and had written critically about the kingdom. Khashoggi went into the Saudi consulate in Istanbul last October and never came out. Intelligence agencies said Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was complicit in the killing.

The U.S. provides billions of dollars of arms to the Saudi-led coalition fighting against Iran-backed rebels in Yemen. Members of Congress have expressed concern about the thousands of civilians killed in coalition airstrikes since the conflict began in 2014. The fighting in the Arab world’s poorest country also has left millions suffering from food and medical care shortages and has pushed the country to the brink of famine.

House approval of the resolution came earlier this month on a 247-175 vote. The Senate vote last month was 54-46.

Democratic Rep. Eliot Engel of New York, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, voted to end U.S. military assistance to the war, saying the humanitarian crisis in Yemen triggered “demands moral leadership.”

The top Republican on the committee, Rep. Michael McCaul of Texas, acknowledged the dire situation in Yemen for civilians, but spoke out in opposition to the bill. McCaul said it was an abuse of the War Powers Resolution and predicted it could disrupt U.S. security cooperation agreements with more than 100 countries.

Trump issued his first veto last month on legislation related to immigration. Trump had declared a national emergency so he could use more money to construct a border wall. Congress voted to block the emergency declaration and Trump vetoed that measure.

(PARIS) — A Paris judicial official says investigators have questioned about 30 people after the fire at Notre Dame Cathedral.

He said most of them were employees working on the renovation of the monument.

The official, speaking anonymously on an ongoing investigation, said the cathedral’s fire alarms sounded twice on Monday evening.

The first time, some people, including a fire official permanently working on the site, went to check under the roof and saw nothing. The second time it was already too late because the fire was too strong, the official said.

He added that 40 to 50 investigators are working on the case but are not allowed to enter the monument yet for safety reasons.

Fundraising campaigns of all sizes have sprung up online. The Fondation du Patrimoine, which funds French heritage projects, said it had already collected around €2 million (around $2.3 million) by Tuesday lunchtime in France.

Another campaign, on crowdfunding site dartagnans.fr under the title “Notre-Dame de Paris, Je T’aime!” (Notre-Dame de Paris, I love you!) has raised some €54,000 ($61,000).

The New York-based French Heritage Society, a non-profit supporting French heritage in the U.S. and France, also launched a donations page, inviting American lovers of the cathedral to contribute.

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has called for a Europe-wide effort to rebuild the cathedral, saying that “[Notre-Dame] is not only a great building, it is a great European landmark” and that footage of it burning would “probably leave no one in Europe untouched,” the AP reports. Steinmeier asked Germans to “support” the restoration.

The Department of Justice antitrust enforcement has informed Sprint and T-Mobile that the merger is “unlikely” to receive approval, according to the Wall Street Journal. 

Speaking to sources familiar with the merger, the report states that the $26 billion deal is concerns from the Justice Department’s antitrust division over threats the merger poses to competition. Sprint and T-Mobile are the third and fourth biggest mobile carriers in the country. Read more...

Persona invades Smash

We knew about Joker from Persona 5 coming to Smash Ultimate, the first character in the game's planned paid DLC releases, but Tuesday night was the first time we got to see what his actual moveset looks like.

Joker has his guns for ranged attacks, a knife for melee attacks, and a couple of magic moves (one of which looks very similar to Ness's PK Fire attack) plus a grappling hook for recovery. The twist with Joker is his Rebellion Gauge that fills up when he takes damage or uses his Rebel's Guard block move. When it's full, Joker can unleash his persona Arsene, which improves a handful of his moves to help him dish more damage. Read more...

Small smartphone aficionados, rejoice: Apple is reportedly looking to launch a 4.7-inch version of the iPhone in March next year. 

Coming from Chinese outlet Economic Daily News (via MacRumors), the report claims this new iPhone would actually be a sort of reboot of the iPhone 8, which also had a 4.7-inch screen. 

According to the report, the idea behind this model is similar to the idea behind the iPhone SE: Apple will repack old tech into a refreshed package, and offer that at a lower price point than current top models, making it more attractive to consumers in emerging markets.  Read more...

When it comes to Game of Thrones and piracy — or, really, any popular piece of media and piracy — the question isn't so much "if" as it is "how many." In Game of Thrones case, how many is... a lot.

New stats from the online piracy data firm Muso suggest that the April 14 season premiere of HBO's hit series was downloaded or watched illegally more than 54 million times in the 24 hours after it aired. For context, Nielsen's tracking puts the total number of legal viewers on Sunday night at 17.4 million.

(The Nielsen data accounts for those who tuned in for the episode live at 9:00 p.m. ET or either of the two reruns that followed, as well as those who streamed it over HBO's on demand services. Nielsen's data doesn't account for repeat viewings, however.) Read more...

Houston Astros pitcher Collin McHugh went full Matrix on Tuesday night, bending backwards to avoid a line drive like Keanu Reeves dodging bullets in a feat of human flexibility. 

McHugh's impressive reflexes not only helped him dodge the line drive hit by Oakland's Kendrys Morales (though the ball did reportedly graze McHugh's hand), it also helped the Astros turn a double play.

Robots are taking over the garment industry in southeast Asia. And while these machines help companies make clothes quickly and cheaply, they also spell doom for a number of garment workers. 

Enter Shimmy Technologies, a company trying to tackle the problem through an unexpected method: a video game that utilizes artificial intelligence. Using the game, the company wants to teach female workers skills that will help them run the technology in place at their jobs, ultimately helping them stay employed — and possibly make more money — even after automation. 

According to a 2016 report from the International Labor Organization, more than half of all workers in five Southeast Asian countries — Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam — face a high risk of job loss due to automation in the coming two decades. Jobs in the garment industry are especially at-risk: 64 percent of Indonesians working in the textile, clothing, or footwear industry are at high risk of losing their jobs to automation, while in Cambodia that number climbs to 88 percent. Electric car batteries should not, generally, be charged to 100%. Long-term, this reduces the battery's longevity, and Tesla cars actually charge up to 90% by default.

But if you're pressed for range, should you change this and charge up to 100%? Well, unless you absolutely must squeeze every bit of range out of your battery, the answer is still no. 

It's not just about battery degradation. In a recent Twitter exchange, Tesla CEO Elon Musk explained that regenerative braking does not kick in at full charge, meaning the car is less energy efficient.

CSS Image Sprite is a method of combining several images into one image file to reduce HTTP requests and optimize web load performance. There are many ways and handy tools to do this, or else you can also do it traditionally with Photoshop.

But, through all my experience of dealing with CSS Image Sprite, there is no other way that much easier than using Sprite Function for Compass. So, let’s take a look at how it works.

Starting Compass

Before working with Compass codes, we need to create Compass project watch it. So, every time there is a change in the project including the images and the .scss, Compass will compile it into the proper form.

Let’s open your Terminal or Command Prompt (if you are on Windows), and run the following commands.

  compass create /path/to/project  cd /path/to/project  compass watch  

Combining Images

As we mentioned above, you can use Photoshop to manually join the images or you can also use some handy tools, such as SpriteBox. Compass integrates this feature in the Function. Let’s say we have the following icons under images/browsers/<images>.png folders.

To join those icons in Compass, we can use @import rule and then direct it to the image folders followed by the image extension through the .scss stylesheet, like so

  @import "browsers/*.png";  

After saving the file, Compass will combine those images and generate new image files, as follows.

Layout Orientation

Furthermore, we can also set the sprite orientation. As you can see in the screenshot above, the images are arranged vertically by default. In case vertical orientation does not fit the circumstances, we can direct them horizontally or diagonally with the following variable $<map>-layout: horizontal; or $<map>-layout: horizontal; replace the <map> with the folder name where you saved the images.

Horizontal

  $browsers-layout:horizontal;  @import "browsers/*.png";  

Diagonal

  $browsers-layout:vertical;  @import "browsers/*.png";  

Adding Image in the Stylesheet

Once we have done combining the image, we add the image in the stylesheet through background image. Traditionally we will do it this way.

In Compass, we have a couple of ways that are much simpler. First, we can generate something like those CSS rules with this syntax @include all-<map>-sprites;. Replace the <map> with the folders where we store the images.

  @include  all-browsers-sprites;  

This line above when compiled to regular CSS generates the background image definition as well as each of the position, as shown below.

  .browsers-sprite, .browsers-chrome, .browsers-firefox, .browsers-ie, .browsers-opera, .browsers-safari {    background: url('/images/browsers-sad8e949931.png') no-repeat;  }  .browsers-chrome {  	background-position: 0 0;  }  .browsers-firefox {  	background-position: 0 -128px;  }  .browsers-ie {  	background-position: 0 -256px;  }  .browsers-opera {  	background-position: 0 -384px;  }  .browsers-safari {  	background-position: 0 -512px;  }  

Or, we can also add background image individually to particular selectors with this syntax @include <map>-sprite(image-naem);; as in previous codes replace the <map> with the folder where we store these images. Here is an example.

  li {  	@include browsers-sprite(safari);  }  

Then, Compass is clever enough to identify the background position, without us having to specify it explicitly. In regular CSS, that line above will turn into

  .browsers-sprite, li {    background: url('/images/browsers-sad8e949931.png') no-repeat;  }  li {  	background-position: 0 -512px;  }  

Specifying Container Dimension

The last thing we need to do is specifying the container height and width that contain the image. We commonly do it in traditional way by manually inspecting the image width and height (most likely through image info or image properties).

With Compass, we can utilize this function <map>-sprite-height(image-name) or <map>-sprite-width(image-name) to retrieve the image width and height. In this example, we will retrieve one of the image width and height and store the value variables as well assign the background image with @include directive.

  $height: browsers-sprite-height(safari);  $width: browsers-sprite-width(safari);  li {  	display: inline-block;  	height: $height;  	width: $width;  	@include browsers-sprite(safari);  }  

When we compile these codes above, it turns into the following in regular CSS.

ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನ ಕೈಗೆತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ತಪಾಸಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದಾಗ ಆಘಾತಕಾರಿ ವಿಷಯ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ತಪಾಸಣೆ ವೇಳೆ ಹಾಸ್ಟಲ್ ನ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕನ ಕಛೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಯಗ್ರಾ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಂಡೋಮ್ಸ್ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ.

ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಹಣಕಾಸು ಸಚಿವ ಸುಧೀರ್ ಮುಂಗಂತಿವಾರ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿರುವ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಮಾನ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನ ರದ್ದುಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಇವಿಎಂ ಯಂತ್ರದ ಕುರಿತು ಆಧಾರ ರಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಛತ್ತೀಸ್ ಘಡ್ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಶಾಸಕ ಕವಾಸಿ ಲಕ್ಮಾರಿಗೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಆಯೋಗ ನೋಟೀಸ್ ನೀಡಿದೆ.

ಮತದಾರರು ಇವಿಎಂನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬೇರೆ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಬಟನ್ ಒತ್ತಿದರೆ ಅದು ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಶಾಕ್ ನ ಅನುಭವ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿರುವ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣ ಕೇಳಿ ನೋಟೀಸ್ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗ ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳ ಒಳಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ.

ಛತ್ತೀಸ್ ಘಡ್ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಸಚಿವರಾಗಿರುವ ಕವಾಸಿ ಲಕ್ಮಾ ಕನೆಕರ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕೊನಾರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಏ.16 ರಂದು ನಡೆದ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಪ್ರಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ರೀತಿ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಗ ನೋಟೀಸ್ ನೀಡಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಘಟಕ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಆಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಆಯೋಗ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ನೋಟೀಸ್ ನೀಡಿದೆ.

ಸುಕ್ಮಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕೊಂಟಾ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ‌ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಿಂದ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಆಗಿರುವ ಲಕ್ಮಾ 2013 ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ನಕ್ಸಲ್ ದಾಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡು ಬದುಕುಳಿದಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಘಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 27 ಜನರು ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು.

ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಆಯೋಗ ಈ ರೀತಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕರನ್ನ ಮಾದರಿ ನೀತಿ ಸಂಹಿತೆ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘನೆ ಎಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಕ್ರಮ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಯೋಗಿ ಆದಿತ್ಯನಾಥ್, ಬಿ.ಎಸ್.ಪಿ. ನಾಯಕಿ ಮಾಯಾವತಿ, ಸಚಿವೆ ಮೇನಕಾ ಗಾಂಧಿ, ಎಸ್.ಪಿ. ಮುಖಂಡ ಅಜಂ ಖಾನ್ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ನೀತಿ ಸಂಹಿತೆ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘನೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಭಾಷಣಕ್ಕೆ 48 ಗಂಟೆ ಹಾಗೂ 72 ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಆಯೋಗ ಬ್ಯಾನ್ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು:ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿ ಸಹಿತ ಸುರಿದ ಮಳೆಗೆ ಮನೆ ಗೋಡೆ ಕುಸಿದು ಇಬ್ಬರು ಸಾವು ಕಂಡ ಘಟನೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರದ ದೊಡ್ಡಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಹೊಸಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.

ಹೊಸಹಳ್ಳಿ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಾದ ಭಾಗ್ಯಮ್ಮ(45), ವೆಂಕಿ(7) ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟವರೆಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್, ಮುನಿರತ್ನಮ್ಮ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಗಾಯಾಳುಗಳನ್ನು ದೊಡ್ಡಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಗದಗ:ಲೋಕೋಪಯೋಗಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಿಂದ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಭಾರಿ ಕಮಿಷನ್ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಮೊಳಕಾಲ್ಮೂರು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಶಾಸಕ ಬಿ. ಶ್ರೀರಾಮುಲು ಗಂಭೀರ ಆರೋಪ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಗದಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುದ್ದಿಗಾರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಲೋಕೋಪಯೋಗಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಆಗದಿದ್ದರೂ, ನಕಲಿ ಬಿಲ್ ಸೃಷ್ಠಿಸಿ ಹಣ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರರಿಂದ ನೂರಾರು ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಕಮಿಷನ್ ಪಡೆದು ಚುನಾವಣೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ತಮ್ಮ ಪುತ್ರನನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ಸಿಎಂ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗೆ ಮೊದಲೇ ಹಣ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಚಿವ ರೇವಣ್ಣರ ಪುತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಎಂ ಪುತ್ರನ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ನೂರಾರು ಕೋಟಿ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರರಿಂದ ಪಡೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಲೋಕೋಪಯೋಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಕಲಿ ಬಿಲ್ ಸೃಷ್ಠಿಸಿ ಹಣ ಪಡೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ದೂರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಲೋಕಸಭೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಆದ ಬಳಿಕ ನಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲಿದ್ದು, ಸಿಎಂ ಮತ್ತು ಸಚಿವ ರೇವಣ್ಣ ಅವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಶ್ರೀರಾಮುಲು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಹೈದರಾಬಾದ್:ಸಂಬಂಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹೋದರಿಯಾಗಬೇಕಾದ ಯುವತಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ ಯುವಕನೊಬ್ಬ ಮದುವೆಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪದ ಆಕೆಯ ಪೋಷಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಲ್ಲೆ ನಡೆಸಿ, ಚಾಕುವಿನಿಂದ ಇರಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

ಹೈದರಾಬಾದ್ ನ ಶಂಷಾಬಾದ್ ನಿವಾಸಿ 26 ವರ್ಷದ ರಮೇಶ್ ಎಂಬಾತನೇ ಇಂತಹ ಕೃತ್ಯವೆಸಗಿದ ಆರೋಪಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ರಮೇಶ್ ದೊಡ್ಡಪ್ಪನ ಮಗಳನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಸಂಬಂಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹೋದರಿ ಆಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಕೂಡ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ್ದು ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡಪ್ಪನಿಗೆ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಪೋಷಕರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿಮಾತು ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಇದರಿಂದ ಆಕ್ರೋಶಗೊಂಡ ರಮೇಶ್, ಯುವತಿಯ ತಾಯಿ ಮೇಲೆ ಚಾಕುವಿನಿಂದ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆರೋಪಿ ರಮೇಶ್ ಪರಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಬಂಧನಕ್ಕೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಬಲೆ ಬೀಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ಮತದಾನ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ನಾಳೆ ಮೊದಲ ಹಂತದ ಮತದಾನ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ. ಮೊದಲ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ 14 ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಾದ ಮಂಡ್ಯ, ಹಾಸನ, ತುಮಕೂರು, ಚಿಕ್ಕಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಉತ್ತರ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಕೇಂದ್ರ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ, ಕೋಲಾರ, ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರ, ಮೈಸೂರು-ಕೊಡಗು, ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗ, ಉಡುಪಿ-ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು ಹಾಗೂ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ.

ಸುಸೂತ್ರವಾಗಿ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗ ಸಕಲ ಸಿದ್ದತೆ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಭದ್ರತೆ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಈ ಬಾರಿಯ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮತದಾರರು ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಮತದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸೆಲೆಬ್ರಿಟಿಗಳೂ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೈ ಜೋಡಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಮತದಾನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿರಲ್ಲಿ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಂದ ಹಾಗೇ ನಾಳಿನ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮತದಾನ ಮಾಡಲಿರುವ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕೆಲ ಸೆಲೆಬ್ರಿಟಿಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿದೆ.

ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿ:ಗಡಿನಾಡು ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿ ಲೋಕಸಭೆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ನಡೆದ ಉಪ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜಯಭೇರಿ ಬಾರಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿ ವಿ.ಎಸ್. ಉಗ್ರಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಸಾರ್ವತ್ರಿಕ ಲೋಕಸಭೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕಾಂಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಕೇಳಿ ಬರುತ್ತಿವೆ.

ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಮುಖಂಡರ ಬಣವೊಂದು ತಟಸ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದು, ಉಪ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ಈ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಕಂಪ್ಲಿ ಶಾಸಕ ಜೆ.ಎನ್. ಗಣೇಶ್ ಜೈಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದು, ಕಂಪ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಗ್ರಪ್ಪ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಸಿಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಇನ್ನು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಬಣವೊಂದು ತಟಸ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಉಳಿದಿದೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಸಚಿವ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಯಾವ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ನಾಯಕರು ಕೂಡ ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿಲ್ಲ. ಉಗ್ರಪ್ಪ ಏಕಾಂಗಿ ಹೋರಾಟ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಾಜಿ ಸಿಎಂ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ನಾಳೆ ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಲಿದ್ದು, ಕುರುಗೋಡು ಮತ್ತು ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ನಡೆಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿ.ಎಸ್. ಉಗ್ರಪ್ಪ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಲ ತುಂಬಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ನವದೆಹಲಿ:ತೀವ್ರ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಬಿಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜೆಟ್ ಏರ್ ವೇಸ್ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಇಂದು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಿಂದ ಬಂದ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುವುದು.

8000 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಸಾಲದ ಹೊರೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜೆಟ್ ಏರ್ ವೇಸ್ ಷೇರು ಮಾರಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಗಳಿಂದ ಶತ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಳ ಕೊಡದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜೆಟ್ ಏರ್ ವೇಸ್ ನಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ನಿತ್ಯದ ಹಾರಾಟ, ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವೇತನ ಮೊದಲಾದ ವೆಚ್ಚಗಳನ್ನು ಭರಿಸಲು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ.

ಸಂಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜೆಟ್ ಏರ್ ವೇಸ್ ಪುನಶ್ಚೇತನಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಯವರು ಮಧ್ಯ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪೈಲೆಟ್ ಗಳು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಇಂದು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಿಂದ ವಿಮಾನಯಾನ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಬಂದ್ ಮಾಡಲು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ವಿಕಾರಾಬಾದ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಭೀಕರ ರಸ್ತೆ ಅಪಘಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿರುತೆರೆ ನಟಿಯರಿಬ್ಬರು ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅನುಷಾ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾರ್ಗವಿ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ ನಟಿಯರೆಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ತೆಲುಗು ಕಿರುತೆರೆ ವಾಹಿನಿಯ ನಟಿಯರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅನುಷಾ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾರ್ಗವಿ ವಿಕಾರಾಬಾದ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪಘಾತ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ.

ಎದುರಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಲಾರಿ ಡಿಕ್ಕಿ ಆಗುವುದನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಾಲಕನ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ತಪ್ಪಿದ ಕಾರು, ಮರಕ್ಕೆ ಡಿಕ್ಕಿ ಹೊಡೆದಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಅಪಘಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಷಾ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾರ್ಗವಿ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗ:ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಹೊಸದುರ್ಗ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಬೆಲಗೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಬಳಿ ಡೀಸೆಲ್ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕರ್ ಪಲ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಪಲ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕರ್ ನಿಂದ ಡೀಸೆಲ್ ಸೋರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಡೀಸೆಲ್ ತುಂಬಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಜನ ಮುಗಿಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬೆಲಗೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಬಳಿ ಚಾಲಕನ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ತಪ್ಪಿ, ಟ್ಯಾಂಕರ್ ಪಲ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ, ಡೀಸೆಲ್ ಸೋರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಜನ ಕೊಡ, ಕ್ಯಾನ್, ಬಕೆಟ್, ಬಾಟಲಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಡೀಸೆಲ್ ತುಂಬಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮುಗಿಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಮಾಹಿತಿ ತಿಳಿದು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಹಾಗೂ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ದಳದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಡೀಸೆಲ್ ಸೋರಿಕೆಗೆ ತಡೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪಲ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕರ್ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಜನರನ್ನು ಚದುರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕರ್ ಚಾಲಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಹಾಯಕನನ್ನು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಶ್ರೀರಾಂಪುರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ:ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ನಾಗನೂರ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿ, ತರಾಟೆಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಯುವಕನಿಗೆ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿ ಜಿ.ಎಂ. ಸಿದ್ದೇಶ್ವರ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 8 ರಂದು ನಾಗನೂರ ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಯುವಕ ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ್, ನೀವು ಏನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಈಗ ಮತ ಕೇಳಲು ಬಂದಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಎಂದು ತರಾಟೆಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನೆನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಇಂದು ಇದೇ ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ಶಾಸಕ ಶಾಮನೂರು ಶಿವಶಂಕರಪ್ಪ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಮುಖಂಡರು, ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು:ಬಿಸಿಲಿನಿಂದ ಕಂಗೆಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ದಿಢೀರ್ ಸುರಿದ ಮಳೆ ತಂಪಿನ ಅನುಭವ ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಒಳನಾಡಿನ ಹಲವು ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಳೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಸಂಜೆ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಗುಡುಗು-ಸಿಡಿಲಿನ ಆರ್ಭಟದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಾರಿ ಮಳೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮರ ಬಿದ್ದು ಬೈಕ್ ಸವಾರ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಒಳನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರದವರೆಗೂ ಗುಡುಗು ಸಹಿತ ಮಳೆಯಾಗುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಹವಾಮಾನ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಮುನ್ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಶಾಂತಿನಗರ, ಗಂಗಾನಗರ, ಕಮಲಾನಗರ, ಬನ್ನೇರುಘಟ್ಟ ರಸ್ತೆ, ಪುಲಿಕೇಶಿ ನಗರ, ವಿಧಾನಸೌಧ, ಆಡುಗೋಡಿ, ಎಂಜಿ ರಸ್ತೆ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಳೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ದಿಢೀರ್ ಮಳೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ವಾಹನ ಸವಾರರು ಪರದಾಡುವಂತಾಗಿದೆ.

ಮಳೆ ನೀರಿನಿಂದಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳು ಹೊಳೆಯಂತಾಗಿವೆ. ರಸ್ತೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಅಂಡರ್ ಪಾಸ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ಹರಿದಿದೆ. ಅನೇಕ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳು ಜಲಾವೃತಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಬೈಕ್, ಆಟೋ, ಕಾರುಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀರು ಸುತ್ತುವರೆದು ಸವಾರರು ತೊಂದರೆ ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಂತಾಗಿದೆ. ಲುಂಬಿನಿ ಗಾರ್ಡನ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮರ ಬಿದ್ದು ಬೈಕ್ ಸವಾರರೊಬ್ಬರು ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮೃತರ ವಿವರ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.

ಜೇಬಿನಿಂದ ಪೆನ್ ಅಥವಾ ಮತ್ತ್ಯಾವುದೋ ಚೀಟಿ ತೆಗೆಯುವಾಗ ನಾಣ್ಯ ಅಥವಾ ನೋಟು ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬೀಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ನೋಟನ್ನು ಅನೇಕರು ಕೋಪ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಕಿರಿಕಿರಿ ಮಾಡ್ತಾ ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದ್ರೆ ಇನ್ಮುಂದೆ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೇಬಿನಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಖುಷಿಯಿಂದ ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ಜೇಬಿನಿಂದ ಹಣ ಬೀಳೋದು ಯಾವುದರ ಮುನ್ಸೂಚನೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡ್ರೆ ಯಾವಾಗ ಜೇಬಿನಿಂದ ಹಣ ಬೀಳುತ್ತೆ ಅಂತಾ ನೀವು ಕಾಯೋದ್ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಶಯವಿಲ್ಲ.

ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೇಬಿನಿಂದ ಬಿದ್ದ ನಾಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮೊದಲು ಅದ್ರಿಂದಾಗುವ ಶುಭ ಸಂಕೇತದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೇಬಿನಿಂದ ನಾಣ್ಯ ಬಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದು ಶುಭ ಸಂಕೇತ. ಶುಭ ಅಂತಾ ಉದ್ದೇಶಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬೀಳಿಸಬೇಡಿ. ತಾನಾಗಿಯೇ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅದು ಶುಭ.

ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೇಬಿನಿಂದ ನಾಣ್ಯ ಅಥವಾ ನೋಟು ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದರೆ ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಧನ ಲಾಭವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅರ್ಥ. ಧನ ವೃದ್ಧಿ ಎಷ್ಟು ವೇಗದಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿದೆಯೆಂದ್ರೆ ಅದ್ರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನೀವು ಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಧನದ ವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಮಯದ ಮಿತಿಯಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ರೆ ಅಪರಿಚಿತ ಮೂಲಗಳಿಂದ ಧನ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಿಯಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಮಾತ್ರ ಸತ್ಯ.

ಪ್ಯಾಡ್ ಮ್ಯಾನ್ ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಂತ್ರ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಸ್ಯಾನಿಟರಿ ಪ್ಯಾಡ್ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸುದ್ದಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಬ್ರ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ನ ಸ್ಯಾನಿಟರಿ ಪ್ಯಾಡ್ ಲಗ್ಗೆಯಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ರಕ್ತದ ವಾಸನೆ ಮರೆಮಾಚಲು ಸುವಾಸನೆಯುಕ್ತ ಪ್ಯಾಡ್ ಗಳು ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗೆ ಬಂದಿವೆ. ಈ ಪ್ಯಾಡ್ ಬಳಸಿದ್ರೆ ಅನೇಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಾಗೋದು ನಿಶ್ಚಿತ.

ಮುಟ್ಟಿನ ವೇಳೆ ಸಹಿಸಲಾಗದ ನೋವು ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಸುವಾಸನೆಯುಕ್ತ ಪ್ಯಾಡ್ ಬಳಸುವುದ್ರಿಂದ ಯೋನಿ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತ ತುರಿಕೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಮುಟ್ಟಿನ ನೋವಿನ ಜೊತೆ ತುರಿಕೆ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಕಿರಿಕಿರಿಯುಂಟು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.

ಪ್ಯಾಡನ್ನು ಸುವಾಸನೆಯುಕ್ತಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಕೆಮಿಕಲ್ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದ್ರಿಂದ ವಾಸನೆ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ರೆ ಅಲರ್ಜಿಯಾಗುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಸುವಾಸನೆಯುಕ್ತ ಪ್ಯಾಡ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಸುವ ಕೆಮಿಕಲ್ ಯೋನಿ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತ ಇರುವ ಉತ್ತಮ ಬ್ಯಾಕ್ಟೀರಿಯಾಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದ್ರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಬ್ಯಾಕ್ಟೀರಿಯಾ ಯೋನಿ ಸೇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಸೋಂಕುಂಟು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.

ಸೋಂಕಿನಿಂದ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ವಾಸನೆಯ ನೀರು ಯೋನಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಮೂತ್ರ ವಿಸರ್ಜನೆ ವೇಳೆ ಕಿರಿಕಿರಿ, ನೋವು ಕಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ತುರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಚರ್ಮದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಾಯಗಳಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯಲು ತೊಂದರೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಮುಟ್ಟಿನ ವೇಳೆ ಶುಚಿತ್ವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಗಮನವಿರಲಿ. ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲ ಒಂದೇ ಪ್ಯಾಡ್ ಬಳಸಬೇಡಿ. ಪ್ಯಾಡ್ ತುಂಬಾ ಒದ್ದೆಯಾಗಲು ಬಿಡಬೇಡಿ. ಇದು ಸೋಂಕು, ತುರಿಕೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಯು ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ. ಧೂಳಿನಿಂದಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಒಂದೊಂದೇ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಕಾಡಲು ಶುರುವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸುಂದರ ಚರ್ಮವುಳ್ಳ ಮುಖ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಗುವ ಮೇಕಪ್ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳ ಮೊರೆ ಹೋಗ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದ್ರೆ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ ಶೂನ್ಯ. ಧೂಳಿನ ನಡುವೆಯೂ ಸುಂದರ ಲುಕ್ ಪಡೆಯುವ ಆಸೆ ನಿಮಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಕಪ್ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ಪೂರ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೊಬ್ಬರಿ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿ.

ಕರ್ಪೂರ ಹಾಗೂ ತೆಂಗಿನ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮಿಕ್ಸ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಮುಖಕ್ಕೆ ಹಚ್ಚುವುದರಿಂದ ಮೊಡವೆ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದ್ರಿಂದ ಮುಖ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ.

ಬಿಸಿ ನೀರಿಗೆ ಕರ್ಪೂರ ಸೇರಿಸಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಕಾಲಿನ ಹಿಮ್ಮಡಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದರಿಂದ ಒಡೆದ ಪಾದದ ನೋವು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಕರ್ಪೂರದ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನು ತಲೆಗೆ ಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದರಿಂದ ಕೂದಲು ಉದುರುವುದು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೂದಲು ಬಲಗೊಳ್ಳತ್ತದೆ. ಮೊಸರು, ಮೊಟ್ಟೆ ಮಿಶ್ರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ಪೂರದ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಹಾಕಿ. ಇದನ್ನು ಕೂದಲಿಗೆ ಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ಮಿಶ್ರಣ ಒಣಗಿದ ನಂತ್ರ ತೊಳೆಯಿರಿ.

100 ಗ್ರಾಂ ತೆಂಗಿನ ಎಣ್ಣೆಗೆ ಚಿಟಕಿ ಕರ್ಪೂರವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ಮಿಕ್ಸ್ ಮಾಡಿ. ಸ್ನಾನವಾದ ನಂತ್ರ ಇದನ್ನು ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆ ಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ಚರ್ಮ ಸಂಬಂಧಿ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗುತ್ತವೆ.

ಮೊಡವೆ ನಂತ್ರ ಕೆಲವರಿಗೆ ಕಪ್ಪು ಕಲೆ ಹಾಗೆ ಉಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂತವರು ಕೂಡ ತೆಂಗಿನ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಜೊತೆ ಕರ್ಪೂರ ಮಿಕ್ಸ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.

ಸುಟ್ಟ ಅಥವಾ ಇನ್ನಾವುದೋ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಕೆಲವರ ಚರ್ಮದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಲೆ ಉಳಿದಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದು ನೋಡಲು ಕೆಟ್ಟದಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂತ ಕಲೆ ಇದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ಪೂರವನ್ನು ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒದ್ದೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಲೆಯ ಜಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಹಚ್ಚುತ್ತ ಬಂದರೆ ಕಲೆ ಮಾಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಮೈತುಂಬಾ ಮತ ಚಲಾವಣೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಎಂಬ ಬ್ಯಾನರ್ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ, ಬಿಹಾರದ ಪಾಟ್ನಾ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀದಿ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೈಕಲ್ ತುಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಮತ ಚಲಾವಣೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

ಈತ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಆಯೋಗದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಲ್ಲ, ನೌಕರನೂ ಅಲ್ಲ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ನಾಕ್ಸ್ ಮಾರುವ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿ. ಪ್ರತಿ ದಿನ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಬಿಹಾರದ ಪಾಟ್ನಾ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನಗರದ ಇತರೆ ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ ಚಲಾಯಿಸಿ ಎಂದು ಸೈಕಲ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಸವಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಜನರ ಬಳಿ ಹೋಗುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಹೆಸರು ಲಾಲ್ ಮಣಿ ದಾಸ್ ಎಂದು.

ಈತ ಕೇವಲ ಮತ ಚಲಾಯಿಸಿ ಎಂದು ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ, ಕ್ಲೀನ್ ಹ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯನ್ನ ಆರಿಸಲು ಮತ ಚಲಾಯಿಸಿ ಎಂದು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಮಾತನ್ನೂ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಮಾಡುವ ದಾಸ್ ಸಂಜೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಸ್ನಾಕ್ಸ್ ಮಾರುತ್ತಾರೆ. 90 ಕೋಟಿ ಮತದಾರರು 543 ಸಂಸದರ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಮತಹಾಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇದು ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವದ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯತೆ ಕೂಡ. ಆದರೆ ಸೀಟಿಗಾಗಿ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಕಾದಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಇದು ಹಾಸ್ಯಾಸ್ಪದವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ದಾಸ್ ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯವಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೋ ಪಕ್ಷವನ್ನ ನೋಡಿ ಮತ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಾರೆ ಇಲ್ಲಾ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ನೋಡಿ ಮತ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಯಾರೂ ಅರ್ಹತೆ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಮತ ಹಾಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದೇ ಬೇಸರದ ಸಂಗತಿ ಎನ್ನುವ ದಾಸ್, ಇನ್ನೂ ಒಂದು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ವೇಳೆ ಸಿಗುವ ಅಪರಿಚಿತ ಮತದಾರರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆನೂ ವಿವರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಗಂಟೆಗಟ್ಟಲೆ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ವಿದ್ಯಮಾನಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ದಾಸ್ ಸೈಕಲ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಲು ತನ್ನ ಜೇಬಿನಿಂದ 10 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂ. ಹಣ ಖರ್ಚು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಭಾರತೀಯ ರಿಸರ್ವ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಇಂದಿನಿಂದ 50 ರೂ. ಮುಖಬೆಲೆಯ ಹೊಸ ನೋಟುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ನೋಟುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ವಿಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಹೊಸ ನೋಟು ಅಳತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಳೆ ಐವತ್ತು ರೂ. ನೋಟಿಗಿಂತ ವಿಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಹೊಸ ನೋಟಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ರಿಸರ್ವ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾದ ನೂತನ ಗವರ್ನರ್ ಶಕ್ತಿಕಾಂತ್ ದಾಸ್ ಅವರ ಸಹಿ ಇದೆ.

ಈಗ ಚಲಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹಳೆಯ ನೋಟುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂಪಡೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಭಾರತೀಯ ರಿಸರ್ವ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಅವುಗಳು ಎಂದಿನಂತೆ ಚಲಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿರಲಿವೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಹೊಸ ನೋಟುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುದ್ರಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದೆ.

ಟೀ ಅಥವಾ ಕಾಫಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಇದ್ದೇ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವ ಮೊದಲು ನೀರು ಕುಡಿದರೆ ಆಗುವ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ ಇನ್ನೂ ಜಾಸ್ತಿ.

ಹಲ್ಲು ಕೊಳೆಯಾಗಲ್ಲ

ಕಡು ಬಣ್ಣದ ಕಾಫಿ, ಟೀ ಕುಡಿಯುವುದರಿಂದ ಬಿಳಿ ಹಲ್ಲು ಹಳದಿಗಟ್ಟುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಿದೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಮೊದಲು ನೀರು ಕುಡಿದು ಬಳಿಕ ಕಾಫಿ-ಟೀ ಕುಡಿದರೆ ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿರದು.

ಅಸಿಡಿಟಿ

ಏನೇ ಸೇವಿಸುವ ಮೊದಲು ನೀರು ಕುಡಿದರೆ ಅಸಿಡಿಟಿ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಬರದು. ಕಾಫಿ ಅಥವಾ ಟೀ ಸೇವನೆ ಕೆಲವರಿಗೆ ಗ್ಯಾಸ್ಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ತರಬಹುದು. ಇಂತಹ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲು ನೀರು ಕುಡಿದು ನಂತರ ಕಾಫಿ ಟೀ ಸೇವಿಸಿದರೆ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಾಗದು.

ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ಹುಣ್ಣು

ಕೆಲವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಫಿ-ಟೀ ಸೇವನೆ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ಹುಣ್ಣಿನಂತಹ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ತರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಂತಹವರು ಮೊದಲು ನೀರು ಕುಡಿದು ನಂತರ ಕಾಫಿ-ಟೀ ಸೇವಿಸಬಹುದು.

ಅಡ್ಡ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಕಡಿಮೆ

ಕಾಫಿ-ಟೀ ಸೇವನೆ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಉತ್ತಮವಲ್ಲ. ಹಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ನಮಗೆ ಚಟವಾಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲು ನೀರು ಕುಡಿದು ನಂತರ ಪಾನೀಯ ಸೇವಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಅಡ್ಡ ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳು ಕೊಂಚ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗುತ್ತವೆ.

ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಪ್ರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಫುಲ್ ಖುಷಿ ನ್ಯೂಸ್. ಜೇಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ 16 ರೂಪಾಯಿ ದುಡ್ಡು ಇದ್ಯಾ? ಹಾಗಾದ್ರೆ ಇಡೀ ದಿನ ಇಂಟರ್ನೆಟ್‌ ಬಳಸಿ.

ಹೀಗಂತಾ ಹೇಳ್ತಾ ಇರೋದು ವೋಡಾಫೋನ್ ಕಂಪನಿ. 16 ರೂಪಾಯಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಜಿಬಿ ಆಫರ್ ನೀಡಿರುವ ವೋಡಾಫೋನ್, ಅದನ್ನು ಖಾಲಿ ಮಾಡೋಕೆ 24 ಗಂಟೆ ಗಡುವು ನೀಡಿದೆ.

ಫಿಲ್ಮಿ ರೀಚಾಜ್೯’ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ಲಾನ್ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಫರ್ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ, ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ, ಅಸ್ಸಾಂ, ಗೋವಾ, ಗುಜರಾತ್ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಈ ಪ್ಲಾನ್ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಮೈ ವೋಡಾಫೋನ್ ಆಪ್ ನಲ್ಲೂ ಈ ಸೇವೆ ಲಭ್ಯ. ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಡಿಯೋಗಳನ್ನು ಡೌನ್ ಲೋಡ್ ಮಾಡೋ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರಿಗೆ ಇದು ಇನ್ನೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಸುದ್ದಿ.

ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಟಿವಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ‘ಗೇಮ್ ಆಫ್ ಥ್ರೋನ್ಸ್’ ಇದೀಗ ತನ್ನ ಕೊನೆಯ ಸೀಸನ್ ಹಂತಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ನಾರ್ವೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ತಮ್ಮ ಫೇಸ್ ಬುಕ್ ಖಾತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಂತೆ ಈ ಅನಾಮಧೇಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಾಣಿ ಹಿಂಸೆ, ಆಸ್ತಿ ಹಾನಿ ಹೀಗೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ದಾಖಲಾಗಿವೆಯಂತೆ.

ಈ ಪೋಸ್ಟ್ ಇದೀಗ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದು 34000 ಸಾವಿರಕ್ಕೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ಪಡೆದಿದೆ.

ಬಿಜೆಪಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟಿಗ ರವೀಂದ್ರ ಜಡೇಜಾ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಟ್ವೀಟ್‍ ಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ ಟ್ವಿಟಿಗರು ತೀವ್ರ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ ಟ್ರೋಲ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ರವೀಂದ್ರ ಜಡೇಜಾ ಪತ್ನಿ ರಿವಾಬಾ ಜಡೇಜಾ ಇತ್ತೀಜೆಗೆ ಬಿಜೆಪಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು “ಐ ಸಪೋರ್ಟ್ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ” ಎಂದು ಟ್ವೀಟ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರ ಪತ್ನಿಯ ಟ್ವಿಟರ್ ಹ್ಯಾಂಡಲ್ ಮೆನ್ಷನ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು.

ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನಗೊಂಡ ಹಲವರು ಅವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಟೀಕೆಗಳ ಸುರಿಮಳೆಯನ್ನೇ ಹರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. “ನೀವು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಿ, ರಾಜಕೀಯೇತರವಾಗಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಕೆಲವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರೆ, ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರು “ಜಡೇಜಾ ವಿಶ್ವಕಪ್‍ ಟೀಮ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡರು ಎಂಬುದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿರಬೇಕು” ಎಂದೂ ಟೀಕಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಂಡನೇ ಕೊಚ್ಚಿ ಕೊಂದಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕರಣವೊಂದು ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನಿಂದ ವರದಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಶವವನ್ನು ನಾಲೆಗೆ ಎಸೆಯಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಯೋಜನೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರ ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರವೇಶದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿದಂತಾಗಿ ಆರೋಪಿ ಬಂಧನಕ್ಕೀಡಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಮೂಲದ ಮುನಿಯಪ್ಪನ್(28) ಹಾಗೂ ನಿವೇದಿತ(19) ಎಂಟು ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಆ ಬಳಿಕ ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನ ಮೆಟ್ಟುಕಡ್ಡಯಿ ಬಳಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿದ್ದರು. ಮುನಿಯಪ್ಪನ್ ಪತ್ನಿಯ ಶೀಲ ಶಂಕಿಸಿ ಆಗಾಗ ಜಗಳ ತೆಗೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಸೋಮವಾರವೂ ಅಂಥದ್ದೇ ಒಂದು ಜಗಳವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ರೊಚ್ಚಿಗೆದ್ದ ಆತ ಹೆಂಡತಿಗೆ ಇರಿದು ತಲೆಯನ್ನೇ ಕೊಚ್ಚಿ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಬಳಿಕ ಶವವನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಚೀಲದಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಿಸಿ ಬೈಕ್‍ ನಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಪೆರುಂದುರೈ ಬಳಿಯ ನಾಲೆಗೆ ಎಸೆಯಲು ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದ.

ಆದರೆ ಶವದ ಕಾಲು ಚೀಲದ ಹೊರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕೆಲವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದು. ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಆತ ನಾಲೆಗೆ ಹಾರಿದ್ದರೂ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಿ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ರಜಾ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಲೇಟಾಗಿ ಏಳುವುದು, ಬ್ರೇಕ್ ಫಾಸ್ಟ್ ಮಿಸ್ ಮಾಡುವುದು, ಇದು ನಗರ ವಾಸಿಗಳ ಲೈಫ್ ಸ್ಟೈಲ್. ಆದರೆ ಆಫೀಸ್ ಗೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ಗಡಿಬಿಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಂಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆಯೇ ಅರೆಬರೆ ಬ್ರೇಕ್ ಫಾಸ್ಟ್ ಸೇವಿಸಿ ಓಡುವುದು ಎಲ್ಲರ ಜಾಯಮಾನ.

ಹಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಬ್ರೇಕ್ ಫಾಸ್ಟ್ ಸೇವಿಸಲು ಸೂಕ್ತ ಸಮಯ ಯಾವುದು ಅಂತೀರಾ…?ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ತಜ್ಞರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದ ಒಂದರಿಂದ ಎರಡು ಗಂಟೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಉಪಾಹಾರ ಸೇವಿಸುವುದು ಸೂಕ್ತ. ಎದ್ದ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸೇವಿಸುವುದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಲ್ಲ.

ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ತುಂಬಾ ಹೊತ್ತು ಹಸಿದು ಕೂರುವುದೂ ಅಸಿಡಿಟಿಯಂತಹ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ತರುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಹೊತ್ತಲ್ಲದ ಹೊತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಸಿವು, ಬೇಡದ ಆಹಾರದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆ ಬೆಳೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ತಜ್ಞರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ.

ಪ್ರೇಮವಿವಾಹಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಪುತ್ರಿಯೊಬ್ಬಳು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯತಮನ ಜೊತೆ ಸೇರಿ ತಂದೆ-ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನೇ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಕೊಲೆಗಡುಕರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಈಗ ಪೊಲೀಸರ ಬಂಧನದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ನಾಗಪುರದ ಸಾಫ್ಟ್ ವೇರ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕಾ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜ್ಯ‌ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟಿಗ ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಅಕ್ಲಾಕ್ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕಾ ತಂದೆ ಶಂಕರ್ ಚಂಪತಿ(72) ಮತ್ತು ತಾಯಿ ಸೀಮಾ(64) ಈ ಅಂತರ್ಧರ್ಮೀಯ ವಿವಾಹಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ಇದರಿಂದ ಸಿಟ್ಟಾದ ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕಾ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯತಮ ಅಕ್ಲಾಕ್ ಜೊತೆ ಸೇರಿ ತಂದೆ-ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಭಾನುವಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಬರಿಸುವ ಔಷಧ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಬಳಿಕ ಕತ್ತುಹಿಸುಕಿ, ತಲೆಗೆ ಹೊಡೆದು ಸಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಪೊಲೀಸರ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ವೇಳೆ ಪುತ್ರಿ ಕೊಲೆಯ ವಿಷಯ ಬಾಯಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಿಯತಮ ಕೂಡ ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅಕ್ಲಾಕ್‍ ನನ್ನೂ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ದುಬೈ: 33 ವರ್ಷದ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಮೂಲದ ಐಟಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಿಯೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ದುಬೈ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳು ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಗಡೀಪಾರು ಆದೇಶ ಕೂಡ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.

ತನ್ನ 15 ಮಂದಿ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರ ವೆಬ್ ಸೈಟ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹ್ಯಾಕ್ ಮಾಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಒಡ್ಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಐಟಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಿಗೆ ದುಬೈ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಈ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿದೆ. ಮೀಡಿಯಾ ಕಂಪನಿಯ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಬಳಿಕ, ತನ್ನ ಸಂಬಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದಿರುವ ಹಣ ವಾಪಸ್ ನೀಡದಿದ್ದರೇ ಹ್ಯಾಕ್ ಮಾಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಬೆದರಿಸಿದ್ದ ಆರೋಪ ಆ ಐಟಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಿಯ ಮೇಲಿದೆ.

ಅದೇ ಕಂಪನಿಯ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಿಯ ವಾಟ್ಸಾಪ್ ಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದು, ತನ್ನ ಸಂಬಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದಿರುವ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಸಾವಿರ ರಿದಮ್ ಹಣ ಪಾವತಿ ಮಾಡದಿದ್ದರೇ ಹ್ಯಾಕ್ ಮಾಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಬೆದರಿಸಿದ್ದ ಎಂದು ಗಲ್ಫ್ ನ್ಯೂಸ್ ವರದಿ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.

ವಿಶ್ವ ಕಪ್ ಗೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ತಂಡ ಪ್ರಕಟಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ಕ್ರಮಾಂಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅಂಬಾಟಿ ರಾಯಡು ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಆಲ್ ರೌಂಡರ್ ವಿಜಯ್ ಶಂಕರ್ ಸ್ಥಾನ‌ ಪಡೆದಿರುವುದು ಬಹಳ ಚರ್ಚೆಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಸವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಆಸ್ಟ್ರೇಲಿಯಾ ತಂಡದ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಆಡಿದ ಐದು ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ಪಂದ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಯಡು ವಿಫಲವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಪ್ರೀಮಿಯರ್ ಲೀಗ್ ನಲ್ಲೂ ಬ್ಯಾಟಿಂಗ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗದ ಕಾರಣ‌ ವಿಶ್ವಕಪ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.

ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಎಂ.ಎಸ್.ಕೆ. ಪ್ರಸಾದ್, ರಾಯಡುಗೆ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ ವಿಜಯ್ ಶಂಕರ್ ರನ್ನ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದರಿಂದ ಓರ್ವ ಬ್ಯಾಟ್ ಮ್ಯಾನ್, ಓರ್ವ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ರಕ್ಷಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೌಲರ್ ಸಿಕ್ಕ ಹಾಗೆ ಆಗಲಿದೆ. ಯಾವ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ರಾಯಡು ಅವರನ್ನ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದೆಂಬುದು ಅವರ ಲೆಕ್ಕಾಚಾರ. ಅವರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸುನೀಲ್ ಗವಾಸ್ಕರ್ ಸಹ ಸಹಮತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದು, ವಿಜಯ ಶಂಕರ್ ಓರ್ವ ಉತ್ತಮ ಆಟಗಾರ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಏಷಿಯನ್ ಕಪ್ ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಆಟ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದ ರಾಯಡು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಟವಾಡಿದ ಆಸ್ಟ್ರೇಲಿಯಾ ವಿರುದ್ದದ ಪ್ರತಿ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಐವತ್ತು ರನ್ ಹೊಡೆದಿದ್ದರು. ನ್ಯೂಜಿಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ವಿರುದ್ದದ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ 90 ಎಸೆತಕ್ಕೆ 113 ರನ್ ಗಳಿಸಿ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು. ನ್ಯೂಜಿಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಪ್ರವಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಯಡು ಐದು ಮ್ಯಾಚ್ ಆಡಿ ಶೇ.63.33 ರನ್ ಸರಾಸರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 190 ರನ್ ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಆಗ ಅವರ ಸ್ಟ್ರೈಕ್ ರೇಟ್ ಶೇ. 82.25 ರಷ್ಟಿತ್ತು.

ಆಸ್ಟ್ರೇಲಿಯಾ ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿ ಆಡುವವರೆಗೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ರನ್ ರೇಟ್ ಕಾಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. 55 ಪಂದ್ಯ ಆಡಿದ ರಾಯಡು ಶೇ.47.05 ರನ್ ಸರಾಸರಿ ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಆಸ್ಟ್ರೇಲಿಯಾದ ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿ ಆಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಈ ರನ್ ರೇಟ್ ಕುಸಿದಿದೆ.

ಭಾರತೀಯ ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆಯುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲರಾಗದ ರಾಯಡು ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಟ್ವೀಟ್ ಮಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ತಾನು ವಿಶ್ವಕಪ್ ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿ ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲು 3ಡಿ ಗ್ಲಾಸ್ ವುಳ್ಳ ಕೂಲಿಂಗ್ ಗ್ಲಾಸ್ ಆರ್ಡರ್ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಟ್ವೀಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಸಮಿತಿ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಮೂರೇ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ 50 ಲಕ್ಷ ಮಂದಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ದ ಸ್ಟೇಟ್ ಆಫ್ ವರ್ಕಿಂಗ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ(ಎಸ್‍ಡಬ್ಲುಐ) 2019 ವರದಿ ಹೇಳಿದೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮೂಲದ ಅಜೀಮ್ ಪ್ರೇಮ್‍ಜಿ ಯುನಿವರ್ಸಿಟಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ವಿಷಯ ಕಂಡು ಬಂದಿದೆ.

ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆ ಪ್ರಕಾರ 2016ರಿಂದ 2018ರವರೆಗೆ ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತ ಒಟ್ಟು 50 ಲಕ್ಷ ಮಂದಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 2016ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಡಿಮಾನಿಟೈಸೇಷನ್ ಬಳಿಕ ಈ ವಿದ್ಯಮಾನ ಉಂಟಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಇದು ಕಾಕತಾಳೀಯ ಇರಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ವರದಿ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.

ಇನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿದ್ಯಾವಂತರಷ್ಟೇ ಈ ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಕಡಿಮೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಹತೆ ಇರುವವರೂ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ವಿರಳ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಾವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನೂ ವರದಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಫಾರ್ ಮಾನಿಟರಿಂಗ್ ದಿ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಎಕಾನಮಿಯ ಕನ್‍ ಸ್ಯೂಮರ್ ಪಿರಮಿಡ್ಸ್ ಸರ್ವೇ ಆಧರಿಸಿ ಈ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
